On the menu is Cream of Wild Asparagus soup and Fried Shrimp Po'Boy. I will update my post after supper w/recipe's. I have made the soup numerous times but it will be my first attempt at the Louisiana Po'Boy Sandwich! I haven't cooked a lot of Cajun or Creole recipes so thought it would be fun to try! Plus I love spicy food! What are you cooking tonight?? Pics would be awesome also!
I like your blog design! You picked asparagus by your house, right? The sandwich sounds tasty. Take a pic of your meals. :-)
ReplyDeleteJune 7: I am really embarrassed. We are having hot dogs, mac and cheese. At least they are all beef.
ReplyDeleteUsually we have better meals but I am not feeling like cooking much in this heat and with my face looking like a monster in a B-grade science fiction movie (sun sensitivity & reaction).
Fail! I tried to lighten up the Po'Boy recipe from traditional deep fried shrimp to sauteed which I prefer. I didn't reduce spices and it was so salty I could hardly eat it!
ReplyDeleteAnd..I forgot to buy cream so I had to improvise on my Asparagus soup and use milk and added some Cream cheese to make it richer..it was pretty good.
No recipe's to post from this meal...lol!
